I Love You, I Know

This week, Amanda & Kevin tell the story of Maul (at one time Darth, mostly just Maul). This tale spans 2 movies, 2 shows, and takes place from the beginning of the Clone Wars to just before the Rebellion. From a fairly one-dimensional fighter character in The Phantom Menace, Maul grows to a thoughtful (though often insane) crime lord fueled by a desire for revenge. So then why is this a tragedy? Listen to find out.

This week Amanda & Kevin take on a 16-question quiz we found in a tweet. Even though they are all opinion questions, Kevin still manages to get one wrong. We also find out that, as usual, we agree on most things - even when we're trying to be controversial. Enjoy the banter and learn about some new Legends characters that we have not talked about yet.

This week, Amanda & Kevin discuss The Mandalorian. This show is a great addition to the Star Wars cannon, if only because it brought Baby Yoda into our lives. We cover the when, who, and what happened of the first season. Like the show, we call back to other Star Wars movies and shows, and debate whether Mando can find love or just imagine it. We do not explain fobs. This is the Way.

The Skywalker Saga is at an end. Amanda & Kevin discuss Episode IX: The Rise of ... doesn't matter. Don't worry about it. This is some great Star Wars. Good wins. Evil loses. Characters develop. New Force powers appear. Not everything needs to be explained. The nonology goes out on a high note. Enjoy this one as much as we did!

So here we are... Amanda & Kevin discuss Episode VIII, the movie we "hate to hate". To the people who really like this movie: You may want to skip this podcast. To everybody else: Enjoy! - especially the alternate ending that we all deserve. This is the movie that gave us the idea for this show, so for that we should be grateful. Also, there's more wisdom from Yoda. And 150 minutes of other stuff. Here we go...

We've made it to the post-quels. After a loose start, Amanda & Kevin talk about Episode VII: The Force Awakens (aka A Newer Hope). New characters, old friends, new relationships, some stressed by time, and a love affair that surprised us all! We also meet the worst son and bad guy in the galaxy. It's time to cover what is quite possibly both Amanda and Kevin's favorite Star Wars movie, Rogue One. Meet (at least briefly) a whole new cast of characters in a familiar setting just before the events of A New Hope. Lots of callbacks to other Star Wars episodes (and a few of our own podcasts) in this one. Red 5 standing by?

This week, Amanda & Kevin cover Solo: A Star Wars Story, a tale of love, crime, and... well a lot of crime. We learn the origin of Han Solo, how he meets Chewbacca, wins the Falcon, and what exactly the Kessel Run actually means. More slavery, weird relationships, and other galactic atrocities abound! And in what is a pretty rough week in the world, we for once do not end on a depressing note.

This week, Amanda & Kevin talk about Revenge of the Sith. We've got space battles, land battles, lightsaber fights, politics, lies, truths, and one terrible marriage that destroys the Republic. We'll talk you through more cringe worthy scenes so you don't have to watch them, and try to find a bright side to the rise of the Emperor (spoiler alert - we do!). Like the movie, this episode is a little long. But unlike the movie, you'll enjoy every minute of it!
